Who we are

Based in Saint Lucia, Deep Blue Cable is the developer and owner of a state-of-the art subsea fibre-optic system which will provide connectivity across the Caribbean islands and the Americas.

The demand for data continues to grow and this is especially true in the Caribbean where current capacity is already stretched to its limits. The region is desperate for improved pan-regional bandwidth infrastructure to boost potential and make network services fit for the new information age.

As an independent company incorporated in Saint Lucia with NOC services from mainland US, Deep Blue Cable is ideally placed to establish these network services throughout the islands. And with more than 40 landings in the pipeline, their unprecedented access will enable Deep Blue Cable to deliver a new wave of communication to the Caribbean and Americas.

An Honours Engineering Graduate bringing over 25 years’ senior level experience in telecoms from Global Marine Systems, PSiNet Europe, Sentrum Data Centres and Global Switch.

Alasdair Wilkie


Alasdair has spent over 30 years working within the submarine cable industry.

Phil Kemp

Director of Facilities

Phil has spent the last twenty years in the areas Construction, Project and Facilities Management with diverse experience of construction contracts and related applications.

Glenn Lipsham

Director of Marine Services

Glenn is an experienced Senior Marine & Terrestrial Operations Manager. With over 20 years’ experience he has had a primary role in the planning, provisioning and operation of submarine cables, including wholly owned and consortia cable systems.

Nigel Irvine

Director of Permitting

Nigel has over 28 years’ experience of working in the marine environment, on survey, cable installation and maintenance operations, as well as undertaking environmental assessments and permitting programmes, and in managing submarine cable system project builds and upgrades.

Andrea Forder

Head of Public Relations & Marketing

Andrea is responsible for customer and channel partner relations as well as execution of marketing and public relations strategy. She has 20 years of experience as a marketing, communications and operations consultant.
